This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Network Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure department. As a member of the Network Reliability Engineering team, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality systems, platforms, and infrastructure that support Symbio's products globally.

We're looking for someone with strong understanding of network architecture and internet protocols, as well as experience with OSPF/ISIS & BGP protocols. Your hands-on experience with on-site work for hardware & cabling deployment, performing network device firmware upgrades, and conducting thorough risk analysis will be invaluable assets to our team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to modernize our tech stack, develop and roll out new features and capabilities, and improve efficiency, consistency, and quality through improvements to network automation, observability, and our network operations processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex network issues
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and improvement

With your expertise and passion for network engineering, you'll contribute to the success of our Global Infrastructure department and help shape the future of global communications.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years' experience in a network engineering role in a Telco/ISP/Enterprise
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and internet protocols
  • Experience with OSPF/ISIS & BGP protocols
  • Hands-on experience with on-site work for hardware & cabling deployment
  • Cisco/Juniper Certified qualifications (either or)
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, Puppet or Chef) and proficiency with scripting or coding preferably Python
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools, pipelines, and version control such as Gitlab
  • Working knowledge of Linux Systems

We offer a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, plus benefits including parental leave, remote working, and a comfortable, fun work environment with social events and fully stocked bar.
