Overview

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join its Global Technology Services team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure solutions that drive excellence, quality, and performance for IT services across multiple portfolios.

About the Role

This role involves active responsibility for network engineering, including the design and implementation of standardized IT services to promote business value. You will also be accountable for supporting and maintaining provided services, meeting ongoing technology requirements for business, projects, and IT stakeholders, as well as providing support for escalation of operational issues whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions that meet business needs and drive business outcomes
  • Support and maintain existing network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Provide expert-level technical guidance and support to teams and stakeholders on network-related matters
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure and configurations

Tech Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer who has a deep understanding of network technologies, including routing, switching, firewall technologies (Palo Alto/Cisco), and automation tools such as Ansible/Python. Experience with data centre networks and cybersecurity is highly desirable.

Benefits and Remuneration

This role offers a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive health insurance program.
