Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure Strategist to lead our team in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer networks that ensure optimal operation.

About the Role

This senior position encompasses strategic planning to enhance network functionality, improve security measures, and maintain alignment with the organization's goals. You will oversee the complete lifecycle management of network software and hardware, including timely refresh and upgrade of systems within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation

Design, implement, and manage all network and security infrastructure to maximize uptime and ensure high availability, minimizing impacts on business operations.

Proactive Monitoring and Maintenance

Implement processes for proactive monitoring, regular patching and upgrades, optimizing network infrastructure, measuring capacity and performance, performing backups, and undertaking preventative maintenance to ensure continuous service.

Troubleshooting and Support

Lead troubleshooting efforts through 2nd or 3rd level support to assist in recovery from network failures in a timely manner, minimizing impact on business operations.

Team Leadership and Development

Develop and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development to ensure high competency levels within the team.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing

Document networks, security models, operational procedures, and update the Knowledge Base library to ensure knowledge is shared and retained.

Project Management and Vendor Relations

Strategically manage vendor relationships to maximize service quality and cost-effectiveness, making decisions on network design and improvements aligned with business objectives.

Resource Allocation and Incident Management

Effectively allocate resources and tasks within the team to meet project deadlines and performance targets, leading BAU incidents, troubleshooting, and technical workarounds.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology.

Certifications and Experience

Cisco CCNP, CCSP, or CCDP certification, ITIL Foundation, and strong Cisco hardware experience. Additionally, experience supporting Citrix Netscalers, F5 Load Balancers, Fortigates, designing and managing network and security infrastructure, and working within a corporate environment with a large user base.

Leadership Experience

Proven leadership experience in a network engineering environment, including team management, mentoring, and strategic project management.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of AUD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative company like DP World Australia Limited.
