A Strategic Payroll Manager Role

We seek an accomplished Payroll Manager to join our team in Sydney Olympic Park, working closely with Wann-gal community. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our payroll services.

Based on your skills and experience, you can expect a salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per annum, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding talent.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the efficient delivery of all Payroll services through effective leadership of the Payroll and Managed Service team.
  • Oversee the administration of the payroll function, ensuring timely preparation, calculation, and disbursement of compensation, deductions, and payroll taxes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment standards and legislation.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the business, focusing on effective communication, early issue identification, escalation management, and process improvement.
  • Implement risk and quality control measures for Payroll transactions, data, and administration, including audit processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Promote self-service and automation, enhancing the employee experience and effectiveness of the Payroll function.
  • Continuously review processes to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for automation, optimizing service delivery and capacity.
  • Drive the implementation of the Ramco solution and oversee programs to ensure future payroll and time-attendance requirements are met.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience in a transformative payroll manager role.
  • Profound knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, and tax legislation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build new payroll service teams.
  • Experience managing onshore and offshore teams.
  • Pragmatic problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a strong ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and promote organizational processes and culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent telephone manner and ability to articulate accurate advice.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement design and delivery.
