We are seeking an experienced Expert Payroll Project Director to lead multiple projects, including implementing timecard modules and automating onboarding processes. You will also be responsible for leading payroll and HR system implementations, creating project plans which also includes risk management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead payroll/HR system implementations, upgrades, or improvements
- Create project plans, define scope, timelines, and deliverables
- Monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered on time and meeting deadlines and standards
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on time
**Team Leadership and Collaboration:**
- Review work completed by project analysts
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities while providing guidance and support
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and IT teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals
**Process Improvement and Compliance:**
- Analyze current payroll processes and gap analysis
- Implement best practices and drive efficiency in payroll operations
- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and audit requirements
**Stakeholder Communication and Risk Management:**
- Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and other departments
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and manage expectations
- Identify potential risks to payroll projects and develop mitigation strategies
**Training and Development:**
- Facilitate training sessions for team members on new payroll systems and procedures
- Ensure ongoing development and knowledge-sharing within the team
**Compensation and Benefits:**
