Our team is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our Hoisting Project Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and cost-effective hoisting solutions that meet or exceed contractual, safety, and performance requirements.

The successful candidate will have technical ownership of electrical aspects of mine winder systems, including high-voltage switchgear, drive and converter systems, motor control centres (MCCs), and power distribution for both new installations and upgrade/retrofit projects.

  • This will involve independently managing defined engineering tasks as well as playing a key technical role in large, cross-functional project teams.
  • You will be responsible for delivering innovative and cost-effective hoisting solutions that meet or exceed contractual, safety, and performance requirements, with a strong emphasis on electrical design integrity, safety and system reliability.

This role requires a solid understanding of mine hoist operational environments, the ability to translate technical requirements into compliant electrical designs, and the confidence to engage directly with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, OEMs, and site teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and reviewing electrical system designs for mine winders, including drive systems, MCCs, HV/LV distribution, and protection schemes.
  • Supporting testing, installation, and commissioning activities with technical expertise.
  • Maintaining project documentation ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborating across functions, from project management to supply chain, to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish.
