Electrical Control Systems Professional

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Control Systems Professional to enhance our QLD Mining Engineering capabilities.

This role will see you collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that benefit clients and communities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop control systems from concept through commissioning, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
  • Design and program PLC and SCADA systems with a focus on Rockwell and Schneider platforms.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate control systems into broader project frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and troubleshooting for high reliability and performance.
  • Produce comprehensive design documentation including functional specifications, control philosophies, I/O lists, network architectures, and FAT/SAT procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5–8 years of experience in control systems engineering preferably in industrial automation or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Rockwell (RSLogix/Studio 5000) and Schneider (Unity Pro/EcoStruxure) PLC platforms.
  • Strong experience with SCADA systems such as Citect, FactoryTalk View, or Wonderware including architecture design and deployment.
  • Able to produce clear, structured, and maintainable documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of OT network design, industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus), and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming standards and structured programming practices.
