About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by identifying new opportunities and establishing relationships with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Revenue Targets: Prospecting and acquiring new customers in line with company growth objectives.
  • Client Engagement: Engaging in discovery sessions with C-level executives to understand client challenges, goals, and requirements.
  • Solution Design: Designing innovative, scalable solutions to meet client needs, leveraging our company's products and services.
  • Proposal Development: Leading the proposal development process, ensuring all technical aspects and implementation plans are clearly communicated.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for both the client and our company.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating across departments to design and implement solutions, while adhering to internal governance processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven Track Record: A proven track record in business development or sales, within logistics or supply chain sectors.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Knowledge of supply chain-related services, warehousing, and distribution, preferably in refrigeration logistics.
  • CRM Experience: Previous experience working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce, is advantageous.
