We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Claims Manager to lead our claims team in Domestic Building Insurance.
About the Role:- Oversee a portfolio of complex claims using negotiation skills to achieve optimal outcomes for all parties.
- Manage a team of dedicated claims professionals to assist homeowners where their builder is no longer available.
- Mentor team members to help them grow and achieve collective goals.
- Ensure the capability and performance of service providers such as law firms, building assessors etc.
- Develop strategies and participate in VCAT proceedings with legal service providers.
- Continuously review and improve internal processes and procedures to deliver services and enhance employee engagement.
You will work closely with the Head of DBI Claims to actively manage and contribute to the development of new and existing claims services, business practices, and product offerings.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in claims management, especially in handling technically complex matters within Domestic Building Insurance / Builders Warranty Insurance or similar schemes.

- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven empathetic client management/customer service experience.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate mutually beneficial solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience in insurance claims management, including data analysis and interpretation.
