About the Role:

You will play a significant role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of claims management activities with a large team.

Develop direct report and staff capability while supporting the consistent implementation of high-quality operational practice and operational improvement strategies across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and revision of a Personal Injury Strategic plan that supports our vision and goals
  • Accurately assess claims operations functional responsibilities, competitive strengths, and vulnerabilities in conjunction with the General Manager
  • Contribute to the business planning function for Workers Compensation Victoria, focusing on claims operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work closely with the General Manager to shape the local culture through high levels of staff engagement, increasing staff satisfaction levels, and building pride
  • Implement claims operating standards and practices responsive to evolving business needs
  • Develop and implement a claims operations talent management and succession plan
  • Manage claims operations across a large team, establishing clear objectives and key results, recognizing and rewarding exceptional performance
  • Foster client relationships individually and within your team environment
  • Identify and mitigate key business risks within the Victorian Claims Operations

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record in a high-impact leadership role leading large teams, combined with high-level workers compensation and/or claims management experience
  • Experience in leading performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics
  • Demonstrated experience in connecting information to identify patterns or trends requiring corrective action across people, operations, performance, culture, and finance
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing, and retaining individuals, teams, and organizational talent
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost-effective business activities
