A desktop engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless IT operations.

  • Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows, Mac and other authorized software/applications to optimize performance.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of workspace hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and conferencing equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Implement preventative measures to maintain devices and software at optimal levels.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to implement technical solutions.
  • Provide on-site support to customers and OEM SME's for device installation, upgrade, support and troubleshooting in network and compute environments.
  • Manage software installations, troubleshooting, driver updates, PC tuning activities, reimaging, security and antivirus measures according to MSI standards.
  • Assist users with logged IT incidents and provide timely resolutions.
  • Take ownership of issues by analyzing problems and implementing fixes within established SLAs, escalating where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of requests using the IT service desk system.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring all customers are treated efficiently and appropriately.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues to achieve team goals.
