The Community Partnership Lead is a key role in our Community Wellbeing team. This person will work closely with the Health and Social Planner, Community Inclusion Officer and Coordinator Community Wellbeing. The role involves effective stakeholder and volunteer management to deliver on key health and inclusion priorities.
- Strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder relationships
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives
- Facilitating consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, resulting in improved service delivery and community outcomes
- Leading and coordinating volunteer management portfolios, increasing volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs
- Contributing to developing and delivering strategic plans, ensuring alignment with community needs and evidence-based practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field, with demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, government agencies, and internal teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community wellbeing initiatives
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of community development principles, current trends in volunteering, and experience using relevant management systems and tools
