Community Partnerships Lead Job Description

The Community Partnership Lead will play a key role in the Community Wellbeing team, working closely with the Health and Social Planner, Community Inclusion Officer and Coordinator Community Wellbeing.

This position requires strong stakeholder and volunteer management skills to deliver on key health and inclusion priorities.

  • Strengthen community partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to deliver impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Facilitate consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, leading to improved service delivery and community outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate Council's volunteer management portfolio, resulting in increased volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in community development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, partnership development and volunteer management.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects concurrently, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of community wellbeing initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
