Job Overview

The Community Partnerships Lead is a pivotal role within the Community Wellbeing team, collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver key health and inclusion priorities.

Key responsibilities encompass:

  • Strengthening community partnerships and stakeholder engagement
  • Establishing and maintaining effective partnerships with community organizations, government departments, and internal stakeholders to drive impactful health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Facilitating consistent communication and collaboration between Council and community partners, resulting in enhanced service delivery and community outcomes.
  • Leading and coordinating Council's volunteer management portfolio, leading to increased volunteer recruitment, retention, and satisfaction across all Council-led programs.

For success in this role, you will bring a strong understanding of community development principles, current trends in volunteering, and experience utilizing relevant management systems and tools.

Additionally, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in community development or a related field, demonstrating experience in community engagement, partnership development, and volunteer management.
