Social Worker – Children in Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team, supporting looked-after children and young people in their care journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and young people under the care of the local authority, developing and reviewing care plans in line with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure their safety by identifying safeguarding concerns and advocating for their voice in all decisions.
  • Collaborate with professionals including foster carers, schools, and health services, attending multi-agency meetings such as Looked After Child (LAC) reviews.
  • Prepare legal reports, maintain accurate records, support transitions like reunification or independence, and conduct statutory visits.
  • Participate in supervision and training to uphold professional standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent.
  • Post-qualified experience in children in care, safeguarding, or statutory children's services.
