Children's Mental Health Specialist

Transform the lives of children and young people by delivering specialist mental health care in school settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide early intervention, support, and guidance to students, educators, and families
- Support schools in identifying and referring at-risk students
- Develop and lead suicide prevention programs and complex behaviour management strategies
- Deliver clinical education, consultation, and service planning for schools
- Contribute to research, policy, and model of care development for children's mental health
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated clinical experience working with children/youth in mental health or educational settings, as well as experience working with schools and managing high volumes of work within deadlines. They will also have a strong understanding of recovery principles in mental health and be able to collaborate meaningfully with children, young people, and carers/families.
This role is based at Mount Druitt PCYMHS Rupertswood Hub and Redbank House Westmead, key facilities within the Western Sydney region.
