Therapeutic Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Services Specialist to join our team at NSW Health.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist therapeutic and case management services to children, young people and their carers who have experienced physical abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence or neglect.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic interventions and case management services to individuals and families impacted by child protection concerns.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans that address the complex needs of clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  • Engage in professional consultation, training and education to promote best practice in child protection.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Clinical experience working with children, young people and families impacted by child protection concerns.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and registration as a psychologist, social worker or allied health professional.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary trauma-informed practices and ability to work effectively in an interagency environment.
  • Ability to participate in 24-hour on-call service and provide services at different locations within NSW Health.
