Job Description

We are seeking a Care Support Specialist to join our team. As a Care Support Specialist, you will provide personal care and support services to our clients in their homes.

Your duties will include:

  • Providing personal care, including showering, toileting, and grooming for both male and female clients.

  • Assisting with meal preparation and serving.

  • Prompting and assisting with medication.

  • Providing transport services for appointments, shopping, and social outings.

  • Providing respite care to give carers a break.

  • Assisting clients to access community services.

  • Using technology to communicate with clients and staff in a friendly and professional manner.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or equivalent.

  • Experience working independently with a high degree of autonomy.

  • A current driver's license and registered insured vehicle.

  • Evidence of a current COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

  • Experience in developing knowledge and implementing the Aged Care Standards.

  • Demonstrated experience providing personal care and domestic assistance services for clients in their homes.

  • Other reasonable duties as requested by the Service Coordinator, Aged Care Services.

  • A valid Employee Working with Children Check.

  • A National Criminal History Check (obtained in the last 6 months) with no disclosable outcomes.

  • You are passionate about supporting others and energized by interacting and engaging with people.

  • You are willing to learn and have a heart for the elderly.
