Mobile Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

You are responsible for overseeing the overall performance of both Open Pit mining fleets. This involves ensuring safety, availability, and cost targets are met while maintaining mobile asset integrity and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee major contractor relationships, including regular reviews and approval of invoices.
  • Monitor and address key performance indicators (KPI) variances, labour overruns, and review contract claims promptly.
  • Evaluate and implement best pricing strategies for non-standard responsibilities and accurately allocate costs within relevant departments.
  • Approve variations and review all purchase orders before authorization.
  • Monitor tyre performance, purchase, maintenance, and contractor tyre management program to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular pit tours to assess hauling conditions and collaborate with the Open Pit Superintendent.
  • Monitor critical spare stock levels to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operations.

About You

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisor role within the mining industry or similar field.
  • Trade qualification with AUR30999 Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Open Pit mining equipment maintenance, heavy mobile, and light vehicle fleets.
  • Holding a current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Previous experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), Pronto or similar software.
  • Experience with contractual administration.
