Job Description

The Fleet Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of the mine's systems, including scheduling and maintenance. They provide technical support to mine controllers and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve system issues efficiently.

This role involves inputting and maintaining the mine model, surface designs, and associated configurations within Minestar. The specialist must also ensure that machine files and configurations are up-to-date and run standard operational reports as required.

In addition, they will identify requirements for report data, create new Minestar reports, and analyze all data to drive continuous improvement across departments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for inputting and maintaining system users and associated security access levels.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fleet Management Expertise: A strong understanding of fleet management principles and IT systems is essential for this role, ideally obtained through college or tertiary studies.
  • Technical Proficiency: A minimum of 3 years' experience working with Fleet Management systems such as MineStar or similar at an advanced user level is required.
  • Heavy Equipment Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy equipment operations is necessary for this position.
  • Mine Workplace Safety Requirements: Knowledge of mine workplace safety requirements and procedures is crucial for this role.
  • Decision-Making Ability: The ability to make effective, intuitive decisions under pressure is essential for success in this position.
