About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead School Psychologist to join our team in the Pilbara region. As a key member of our school psychology team, you will provide professional leadership and support to a dedicated and dynamic team of school psychologists across the region.

As a Lead School Psychologist, you will work collaboratively with other team members to develop and implement programs and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success. You will also provide leadership and guidance to the team on best practices in school psychology, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality school psychology services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in school psychology, with experience in leadership and team management. You will be a strategic thinker, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership and support to the school psychology team
  • Develop and implement programs and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team on best practices in school psychology
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of high-quality school psychology services
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Advanced Skills School Psychologist status
  • Experience in leadership and team management
  • Strong background in school psychology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
