As a Lead School Psychologist, you will provide professional leadership and support to a dedicated team of school psychologists, working collaboratively to develop and implement programs and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and guidance to the team of school psychologists, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality services to students and schools.
- Develop and implement programs and interventions that address the mental health, learning, behavior, and disability needs of students in the Pilbara region.
- Collaborate with other education professionals, including teachers, principals, and other support staff, to ensure that students receive comprehensive and coordinated support.
- Provide professional development and training to school psychologists, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based practices.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, carers, and community members, to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Hold or be eligible for general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
- Have achieved Advanced Skills School Psychologist status for permanent appointment to this position.
