About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking two highly skilled and experienced individuals to fill the positions of Director of Education in the Goldfields and Pilbara Education Regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Influence student achievement and progress by providing strategic leadership and support to schools in the region.
  • Lead local, place-based initiatives to respond to the unique needs of the region.
  • Strengthen local inter-agency approaches to improve outcomes for students.
  • Respond to incidents and crises in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify and develop leadership talent within the region.
  • Lead connection with Aboriginal Groups, including traditional owners.
