Structural Sheet Metal Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Sheet Metal Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out aircraft sheet metal repairs, performing composite repairs, and assisting in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SAAB SRM.
  2. Perform composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements.
  3. Assist in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.
  4. Assist in the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs.
  5. Maintain company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.
  6. Provide sheet metal support at other bases and in AOG events.
  7. Meet safety regulations and requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Certificate IV in Aeroskills Structures MEA41322 or MEA41318.
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs.
  3. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
  5. Sound work ethics.
  6. Ability to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card.

Preferred Selection Criteria:

  1. Heavy maintenance experience.
  2. NDI experience or approvals.
  3. CASA B1 & A1 licence.
