Aircraft Structural Repair Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Aircraft Structural Repair Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SRM. This includes conducting composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements, assisting in corrosion/damage removal and assessment, contributing to the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs, maintaining company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop, assisting in training of structural repair work and sheet metal practices, adhering to safety regulations, and providing sheet metal support at other bases and in AOG events.

Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures (MEA41322 or MEA41318) is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience in aircraft structural repairs is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude is expected.
  • Sound work ethics are a must.
  • Aviation Security Identity Card requirements must be met.
Preferred Selection Criteria:
  • Heavy maintenance experience would be beneficial.
  • NDI experience or approvals would be advantageous.
  • CASA B1 & A1 licence would be a plus.
