We seek a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Specialist to join our team in Wagga Wagga, Australia.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will be responsible for performing aircraft sheet metal repairs, composite repairs, and other duties as required.
Main Responsibilities- Carry out aircraft sheet metal repairs in accordance with SAAB repair statements and SRM.
- Conduct composite repairs in accordance with SAAB SRM and SAAB repair statements.
- Assist in corrosion/damage removal and assessment.
- Support the development of improved structural repair processes and ICAs.
- Maintain company sheet metal tooling associated with the sheet metal workshop.
- Provide training and support for structural repair work and sheet metal practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Offer sheet metal support at other bases and in AOG events.
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills – Structures (MEA41322 or MEA41318).
- A minimum of 5 years experience in aircraft structural repairs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A highly motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
- Solid work ethics.
- An Aviation Security Identity Card.
- Heavy maintenance experience.
- NDI experience or approvals.
- CASA B1 & A1 licence.
