Policy and Strategy Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Policy and Strategy Advisor to join our First Nations Branch. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing strategies that promote the interests of First Nations people.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of First Nations culture and policy, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that drive positive change.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement policies and strategies that promote the interests of First Nations people
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide advice and guidance on First Nations policy and cultural competency
  • Support the development and implementation of projects that promote the interests of First Nations people

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Monitor workflow processes and coordinate events
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, politics, sociology)
  • At least 2 years of experience in policy development or a related field
  • Sound knowledge of First Nations culture and policy
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
