About the Business

The Office for Women is reponsible for the Domestic and Family Violence Safety Alliance and works across government and community towards achieving gender equity and positive change for women in South Australia. The Office develops policy and provides advice on issues affecting women to improve their safety, wellbeing and economic security.

Role Details

The First Nations Principal Policy Officer is a role within the OFW in the Women's Equality and DFSV System Reform and is accountable to the Assistant Director, OFW for:

  • Leading and contributing to the provision of effective and balanced policy advice to government on the interests and concerns of women across South Australia.
  • Providing high-quality specific advice and recommendations in relation to issues for First Nations women in South Australia.
  • Coordinating gatherings and participation for First Nations women and representing issues relevant to First Nations women on relevant committees, working parties and forums.
  • Providing consultative services to a range of stakeholders based on knowledge of government policy, specific programs, and First Nations women's issues

Special Conditions

Salary Range: $108,109-$116,864 (ASO7)
