About MMG Dugald River Mine

Dugald River is one of the world's top 10 Zinc mine operations, producing zinc concentrate for customers globally since 2017. The mine is committed to a low-carbon future, with the Dugald River Solar Farm supplying a third of the mine's power, reducing emissions by 33%.

Job Summary

This newly created position will report to the Manager of Human Resources & Training and play a key role as an operational partner for Dugald River Mine (DRM). The successful candidate will provide comprehensive HR support and aid in the implementation of HR initiatives that effectively align with DRM's business plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forge and maintain robust professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Assist leaders in effectively managing day-to-day personnel matters and harnessing the full potential of the workforce to drive the site's business goals.
  • Provide firm guidance and training on essential HR systems, including recruitment, equal employment opportunities, compensation, performance management, grievance and discipline, and employee relations.
  • Contribute to developing and revising HR standards and procedures at Dugald River.
  • Participate in HR projects, including diversity and inclusion, change management, and engagement.
  • Assist leaders in handling employee grievances and disciplinary matters in accordance with MMG standards and legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and grievances to achieve prompt and equitable resolution.
  • Aid line management in all aspects of performance management, including setting SMART objectives, providing resources, and evaluating performance development.
  • Support stakeholders in all HR processes, including My Performance reviews, Annual Remuneration Review, budget planning, and cost reviews.
