About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Partner to join our team at Central Coast Council. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a critical role in supporting business units and providing employment and legislative advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your HR business partnering and high-level interpersonal skills to support business units and manage complex industrial relations and employee matters.
  • Develop, build, and maintain collaborative working relationships that establish successful and professional business partnerships.
  • Work closely with a Senior Business Partner to develop and implement people and culture initiatives and contribute to the development, implementation, and delivery of projects.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or a relevant field, or significant solid contemporary industrial relations and generalist human resource management experience.
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Extensive experience in a similar role working with diverse client groups in medium to large complex organisations.
  • Significant experience in managing outcomes for complex grievance, dispute, and performance management related matters.
  • Extensive experience in the interpretation and application of Award, industrial, and employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in researching and analysing information of a complex and sensitive nature to deliver proactive solution-based outcomes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in providing technical expertise, coaching, and advice to relevant staff to allow them to effectively undertake their responsibilities and duties.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, credible relationships and influence, persuade, or negotiate outcomes that add value to the organisation.
  • Proven ability to assess and interpret information to formulate recommendations and provide specialist advice to enable the organisation to achieve quality outcomes.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $99k to $119k plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A temporary full-time role with the option to access a 9-day fortnight.
