Job Title: Director of Human Resources

Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at our luxury five-star hotel.

About the Role:

As a key member of our hotel's executive committee, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies to drive business growth and improve employee engagement.

You will lead a high-performing HR team and provide guidance and support to department heads and colleagues on HR-related matters.

Key responsibilities include talent acquisition and onboarding, learning and development, employee relations, payroll, colleague engagement, industrial relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, and corporate office reporting.

Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of employee and industrial relations
  • Previous experience in a senior human resources management role, preferably in an international chain hotel
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and related software applications
  • Ability to manage the Company's internal HRIS systems and Learning Management System (LMS)
