The Role

As a key member of our hotel's executive team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives. Your expertise will be essential in driving a high-performing workforce, creating an engaging work environment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Learning and Development: Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Payroll and Compensation: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, and develop competitive compensation packages to attract and retain top talent.
  • Colleague Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to boost employee engagement, motivation, and job satisfaction.
  • Industrial Relations: Maintain positive relationships with employee unions and negotiate collective agreements to ensure fair and equitable working conditions.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to drive employee performance and achievement of business objectives.
  • Corporate Office Reporting: Provide regular reporting to the corporate office on HR metrics, trends, and best practices.
  • Workers Compensation: Ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws and regulations, and manage workers' compensation claims effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legislation.
  • Proven experience in a senior HR management role, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems, including learning management systems.
