Job Overview

Our organisation is seeking a strategic leader to shape its risk management framework. This individual will transform the risk strategy to protect and serve, ensuring a robust incident response plan is in place.

Collaborating with senior leadership and the Board, this role requires someone who can think strategically and lead effectively.

The ideal candidate will utilise their expertise in policy, governance, and insurance to drive real change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of five to define and implement risk strategy across the organisation.
  • Work closely with executive teams and Boards to provide trusted advice and lead strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers to secure optimal placements and renewals.
  • Strengthen governance and compliance frameworks to align with legislation and support decision-making.
  • Oversee policy oversight, ensuring consistency and practicality for staff.
  • Develop and lead a clear and effective incident response approach.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in risk management, law, or commerce.
  • Proven experience leading and implementing risk and compliance functions.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with commercial acumen.
  • Ability to develop and lead a team while mentoring and driving continuous improvement.
