Physiotherapist - Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team on a casual basis at John Fawkner Private Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive Physiotherapy services to acute surgical inpatients, including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac, and neurosurgery, and ICU/CCU patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice
- Participate in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
- Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services
- Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students
- Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years Physiotherapy clinical experience
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment and intervention
- Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
- Experience with Orthopaedic and ICU preferred
- Weekday availability preferred but not essential
