Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical nursing team at John Fawkner Private Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex orthopaedic and neurosurgical needs
- Provide comprehensive care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for safe practice and promote a culture of safety within the team
- Deliver education and support to patients and their families to promote health and well-being
Requirements:
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute hospital setting, preferably in a surgical ward
- Orthopaedic and neurosurgical nursing experience highly regarded
- Compliance with Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards
- Commitment to quality patient care and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional computer skills
