Physiotherapist - Acute Surgical Wards

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at John Fawkner Private Hospital on a casual basis. The successful candidate will be involved in providing physiotherapy services to the acute surgical wards, CCU, and ICU.
Key Responsibilities- Providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to acute surgical inpatients, including orthopaedics, general surgery, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients
- Delivering excellent clinical services related to assessment, treatment, planning, and evidence-based practice
- Participating in program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients and their support people
- Discharge planning with the multidisciplinary team and referrals to external services
- Clinical supervision of physiotherapy and allied health assistant students
- Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years physiotherapy clinical experience
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Excellent clinical practice skills in assessment and intervention
- Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
- Experience with orthopaedic and ICU preferred
- Weekday availability preferred but not essential
