Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated Guest Experience Host to join our team in Port Douglas. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for providing an exceptional experience for our guests, from greeting and registering them to sharing knowledge about local attractions and ensuring seamless check-in processes.

You'll also have the opportunity to work closely with our sales centers, generating appointments and building relationships with our customers to deliver a truly personalized experience.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register owners and guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Offer insider knowledge on local area attractions, helping guests make the most of their vacation
  • Complete all department-related paperwork efficiently and accurately
  • Utilize communication equipment, including telephones, fax machines, and computers, to stay connected with guests and colleagues
  • Meet guests face-to-face, generating sales appointments for our sales centers and livestream events
  • Build rapport with guests, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver a tailored experience
  • Collaborate with the resort operations team to ensure seamless transitions and high levels of service
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of traveling within our Wyndham Destinations community
  • Meet targets and KPIs set by the business
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a similar hotel position, preferably with a strong focus on customer service
  • A genuine passion for customer service and the local area, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable presentation and professional grooming standards, with a keen eye for detail
  • High levels of computer literacy, with experience using PMS systems (e.g., Hirum, Fidelio, Opera) a plus
  • The ability to recognize and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and school breaks
