Role Overview:
A Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner is required to provide information, support, counselling, and mediation to separating couples and families. The successful candidate will facilitate negotiations that prioritise the best interests of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out thorough intake, risk, and needs assessments in line with the Family Law Act 1975 and FDRP Regulations 2008.
- Deliver child-focused mediation using relevant frameworks and best practice standards.
- Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Build positive networks and promote services across the community.
- Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team environment.
Requirements:
- Possess tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution or Mediation.
- Hold accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain registration).
- Demonstrate experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
- Display strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
- Show ability to maintain professional standards in line with legislation and FDR accreditation requirements.
