Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Utilize an overlay tool to provide excellent customer service, as measured by Press Ganey, while collecting insurance information, receiving and processing physician orders, and assigning accurate MRNs.
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls, adhering to policies and providing compassionate interactions with patients and families.
  • Conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness, providing statistical data to Patient Access leadership and implementing quality improvements.
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, collecting demographic, insurance, and financial information, and explaining general consent for treatment forms to patients and families.
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems, selecting applicable insurance plan codes and entering benefit data to support POS collections and billing processes.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire (company-paid)
