About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Data and Analytics to join our IT and Digital Enablement team in Melbourne. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our data science and engineering capabilities, leveraging AI and analytics to drive business insights and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of data management capabilities and governance practices
  • Oversee the design and delivery of business intelligence platforms, standard reporting platforms, and descriptive analytics and visualization capabilities
  • Drive the development of advanced analytics delivery capabilities
  • Develop and implement AI capabilities across the organization to drive business value and operational efficiency
  • Influence and enhance a data-driven culture through community, people, and talent development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a strong team of data scientists and engineers

Requirements
  • Significant people leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing and leading high-performing teams
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and evidence of currency in data science and analytics
  • Relevant experience demonstrating growth in technical capability, with a focus on AI and analytics
  • Great commercial acumen and the ability to tell a compelling story
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
