We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at the National Convention Centre Canberra.
This pivotal role will involve supporting the Director of Sales, Marketing and Events in driving business growth through strategic sales, building client relationships and increasing revenue in a dynamic environment.
- Managing day-to-day sales activities and nurturing client relationships with a focus on securing repeat business
- Meeting individual and team sales targets to maximise profitability
- Supporting sales initiatives through site inspections, client entertainment and marketing events
- A minimum of two years' experience in convention sales or in a large MICE hotel environment
- Proven experience working with international, national and local clients to promote convention centres and destinations
- Strong knowledge of local business networks and industry trends
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic matrix-style organisation
