Business Growth Expert

Square is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our rapidly growing team in Melbourne. As a key member of the Australian Sales team, you will be responsible for identifying prospective sellers, promoting Square's value proposition, and working closely with the global team to find new merchants.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work with a leading company that helps sellers worldwide grow their businesses. You will use multi-channel outreach methods to large value merchants in Australia, applying a data-driven approach to outbound sales. Your primary goal will be to maintain current knowledge of the global Square product ecosystem and understand how it can benefit SMB Australian merchants.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Research and prospect large value merchants across Australia that may be a good fit for Square
- Use storytelling, case studies, and other materials to inspire prospective Square merchants about how Square could benefit their businesses
- Create a great first impression by understanding the needs and pain points of merchants
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Square products and services
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have a desire to develop your sales career, a passion for technology, and experience in prospecting roles. You should also have critical thinking and strong decision-making abilities, as well as the ability to perform in a fast-changing environment. This role requires you to maintain accurate sales data and documentation using tools like Salesforce. We welcome applications from diverse candidates who are passionate about technology and sales.
