Emergency Management Policy Specialist

You will play a pivotal role in supporting and driving policy development and project work that enhances emergency management capabilities and fosters resilience and efficiency across the sector.
You will design, deliver and evaluate state-significant projects and foundational emergency management training material. You will undertake analysis to provide detailed recommendations and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective policy implementation, capability uplift and continuous improvement across the sector.
Your work will directly contribute to shaping strategic initiatives that enhance emergency management arrangements and support the implementation of existing legislation, frameworks, policies, guidelines, and plans.
We are seeking an experienced individual with strong analytical and project management skills who can work effectively within a team, fostering a cooperative environment and contributing to shared goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support the design and delivery of the emergency management curriculum
- Utilize your policy expertise, strategic insight, and collaboration skills
- This is a temporary clerk grade 7/8 role until December 2025, based in Sydney CBD
