Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled General Practitioner to provide non-procedural services at our emergency department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients and participating in the on-call roster. They will also contribute to service and policy development, engage in education and training, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver non-procedural GP services
  • Participate in the on-call roster
  • Contribute to service and policy development
  • Engage in education and training, and quality improvement activities

Requirements:

  • Current Registration: MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Practitioner
  • Minimum three (3) years post graduate clinical experience
  • Knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches in assessment and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Competence in performing minor urgent procedures commonly undertaken in a rural emergency department

Work Environment:

Our hospital is a 119 bed facility with 100 hospital care beds and 10 maternity beds. We provide a 24 hour Emergency Department (ED) with 15 ED spaces, supported by an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and telehealth connections to NSW Critical Care Advisory Service.
