Advanced Mining Equipment Technician

Are you a skilled trade professional seeking a challenging opportunity to utilize your technical expertise? We require an experienced Advanced Mining Equipment Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on large and ultra-class CAT mining equipment in Mackay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out maintenance and repairs to the highest standard, ensuring optimal performance of our customers' equipment.
  • Follow established procedures and consult relevant service information systems for specific instructions and specifications.
  • Ensure high-quality workmanship, avoiding rework and maintaining efficiency.
  • Meet schedule deadlines while prioritizing safety and quality.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear updates on job progress.
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated experience working on Caterpillar mining equipment.
  • Current coal board medical certification and ability to acquire HDAL (Heavy Duty Aircraft and Heavy Mobile Plant) qualification if required.
  • 3-5 years' post-trade experience in mining equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team when required.
