At our organization, we are seeking experienced field service technicians in Mackay to provide maintenance and repair services for Caterpillar mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver quality maintenance - carry out repairs and maintenance to the highest standard, ensuring our customers' equipment performs optimally.
  • Follow established procedures - research and consult the correct service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications.
  • Ensure fault-free workmanship - take every step to ensure that all work is done correctly, avoiding any rework.
  • Work within schedules - complete assigned tasks within required timeframes while maintaining safety and quality.
  • Keep customers informed - involve customers in major repair decisions and provide clear updates on job progress.
  • Support genuine parts sales - promote and advise on the use of genuine Caterpillar parts to maximize performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • A relevant trade qualification and demonstrated experience in providing maintenance and repair services on Caterpillar mining equipment.
  • Site-based roles will require a current coal board medical and a Standard 11 qualification or the ability to acquire it via our training program.
  • 3-5 years of post-trade experience on mining equipment.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as required.
  • Demonstrated and proven ability with desktop computers and devices.
  • Experience with Caterpillar diagnostic systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS).
  • Commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.
