About the role

Elite Mine Maintenance is seeking experienced Diesel & Mechanical Fitters to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. As a Diesel & Mechanical Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining both mobile and fixed plant.

What you'll be doing

  1. Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a variety of diesel and mechanical equipment
  2. Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns on machinery and vehicles
  3. Follow all safety procedures and work to the highest quality standards
  4. Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective operations

What we're looking for

  1. Trade qualification as a diesel or mechanical fitter with extensive experience in the mining or heavy industrial environment
  2. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  3. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
