Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Corporate & Commercial team in Tasmania. This role will be based in the Hobart office and involves implementing Client First Principles across your portfolio of accounts.

  • Consistently achieve agreed service standards.
  • Foster effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and monitor changes to preserve these relationships.
  • Take a proactive approach to account management and service delivery, ensuring client needs are identified and met.
  • Implement successful account retention and defence strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of large and complicated claim-related matters, assisting claims colleagues in negotiating equitable settlements.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of major classes of General insurance and stay updated on technical and product developments.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act and Insurance Contracts Act.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and grow client portfolios

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Provide exceptional client service

  • Ensure high-quality customer service is consistently provided.
  • Monitor and address client concerns in a timely manner.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Collaborate with claims, underwriting and other teams to deliver seamless client experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Stay up-to-date with industry developments

  • Stay current with market trends and competitor activity.
  • Continuously develop skills and knowledge to remain competitive.

Requirements:

Proven experience managing corporate client accounts. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. A motivation for client service and solutions.
