Clinical Nurse Specialist Role

This is a critical role that requires expertise and empathy to help patients stabilise, recover, and prepare for their next steps. The Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a pivotal part in delivering high-quality patient care.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist provides person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for mental health inpatients. They utilise best practice evidence and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and support for less experienced clinicians
  • Developing and implementing individualized person-centered care plans
  • Advocating for and implementing evidence-based practice
  • Supervising, delegating, and negotiating with others to deliver quality nursing care

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to contribute to our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience working in mental health and relevant post-registration qualifications. They will also possess excellent clinical communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
