Advanced Mental Health Nursing Role

Job Description:

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2, you will provide person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for individuals with mental health conditions. Your role will involve working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality specialist nursing care to patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Mental Health.
  • Demonstrated competencies and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing specialty nursing care in a multidisciplinary context.
  • Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
